本家libreOfficeのマニュアルが公開されています。英語版ですが参考になると思います。文書形式はODF形式とPDF形式がありますのでOpenOffice.org/LibreOfficeをインストールしていない方はPDF形式を読むことで概要をつかむことが出来ると思います。
